Affiliate links

Where a place sells tickets, tours or experiences, the "Tickets and tours" button links to a booking platform such as GetYourGuide or Viator. If you make a booking after following one of those links, the platform pays Guru a commission. The price you pay is the same as if you had gone to the platform directly.

We label this where you meet it, not just here: every list and page that carries those links says so at the top, and the links are marked in the page code as sponsored, as search engines and the UK advertising rules ask.

Advertising

Some pages carry display advertising served by a third-party network. Advertisers do not choose or influence which places are listed or how they are ranked.

What is not affected

The order of the list is set by the weather, the time of day and the editorial weight we give a place. A place does not move up because it can be booked, and free places carry the same weight as paid ones. Descriptions are written independently and are not supplied by any partner.
