What this site is

Guru is an editorial guide. It lists places to go and ranks them for the weather and the time of day, using forecasts from a third party and descriptions written by us. It is information to help you decide, not a booking service and not advice tailored to you. By using the site you agree to these terms.

What we don't promise

We work to keep the site accurate, but places close, change their hours and put up their prices, and forecasts are forecasts. We don't guarantee that anything on the site is complete, current or correct, and you should check the official site of a place before you set off. Some picks are outdoors or in the hills, on beaches or across tidal causeways: your safety, your kit and your judgement of the conditions are your responsibility.

Bookings and links

We don't sell tickets. "Tickets and tours" buttons and other links take you to other companies' websites, and any booking you make there is between you and them, under their terms. Some of those links are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission on a booking at no extra cost to you; the affiliate disclosure explains how that works and what it does not affect. We are not responsible for the content, prices or service of any site we link to.

Advertising

Some pages may carry advertising served by a third-party network. Advertisers do not choose or influence what is listed or how it is ranked. See the privacy page for what those networks may collect.

Using the content

The descriptions, tags, rankings and design of the site are ours and are protected by copyright. You are welcome to read, share links to, and quote short passages from the site with a credit. Please don't copy the site or its data wholesale, scrape it, or republish it as your own. Weather data comes from MET Norway under a CC BY 4.0 licence.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or your reliance on anything in it, including a wasted journey, a closed door or a wet afternoon. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Changes

We may change the site or these terms at any time; the date at the top says when they were last updated. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
