Guru/Birmingham/Black Country Living Museum

Black Country Living Museum

A recreated industrial village with a 1930s chip shop, a mine and the Peaky Blinders sets.

Costumed staff, working trams, a sweet shop, a pub and a chip shop frying in beef dripping: the museum is a full day of the Black Country's past, and much of Peaky Blinders was filmed here. It is mostly outdoors, so pick a dry day, and a train or bus to Dudley from the centre.

When it works

Partly outdoors: better on a dry day, with shelter if it turns. Best morning, afternoon.

Good for kids, groups and a first visit.
