St Nicholas Market

A Georgian covered market packed with food stalls and independent shops, closed Sundays.

St Nicks is the lunch spot for half the city: Caribbean, Portuguese, pies, falafel and a glass-roofed arcade to eat it in. The Exchange and the arcades are under cover, so weather is not a problem. It runs Monday to Saturday, with street food outside on weekdays.

When it works

Indoors, so the weather does not matter. Best morning, afternoon.

Good for groups, locals' favourite and a first visit.
