Mersey Ferry
The fifty-minute river cruise with the skyline from the water and the song on the tannoy.
The River Explorer cruise loops from the Pier Head to Seacombe and Woodside and back, with commentary and the famous song at least once. It is the best view of the Three Graces and the docks, and the enclosed decks mean rain only matters for the photographs. Cheaper single crossings run at commuter times.
When it works
Mostly under cover, so light rain is fine. Best morning, afternoon, evening.
Good for kids, a first visit, a date, sunset and step-free visits.
