Guru/Manchester/Fletcher Moss Botanical Garden

Fletcher Moss Botanical Garden

Rock gardens and a riverside walk in Didsbury, the south side’s favourite Sunday.

A steep rock garden running down to meadows and the River Mersey, with the parsonage gardens across the road and Didsbury village's cafés a few minutes away. It is free and small enough for an hour, and it is at its best in spring and early summer. Take the tram to East Didsbury.

When it works

Outdoors: pick a dry day. Best morning, afternoon.

Good for dogs, a date and locals' favourite.
