Jane Austen Centre
Austen’s years in Bath, told by costumed guides in a Georgian townhouse, with a Regency tea room.
Austen lived in Bath for five years and set two novels here, and the centre on Gay Street tells that story with costumed guides, period rooms and a chance to try on a bonnet. The tea room upstairs does a Regency afternoon tea. Ticketed, indoors and small; an hour is enough unless you are a devotee.
