Meanwood Valley Trail
A wooded valley walk from the edge of the city out to the countryside, with a farm and a pub on the way.
The trail follows Meanwood Beck from Woodhouse Moor through Meanwood Park and the woods to Golden Acre Park, about seven miles in all, though most people do a stretch. Meanwood Valley Urban Farm and a couple of pubs break it up. Free, muddy after rain, and one of the city's favourite dog walks.

Outdoors: pick a dry day. Best morning, afternoon.
