South of the centre, the old warehouse district has become the place Liverpool goes out: a food market in a former brewery, rooftop bars, a cathedral-sized club, murals on every wall and a ping-pong bar for the indecisive. It is at its best from late afternoon on Friday and Saturday. Much of it is indoors, so weather is not a problem.

Mostly under cover, so light rain is fine. Best afternoon, evening, night.
Good for groups, a date and locals' favourite.
