A nuclear monitoring bunker kept as it was in 1991, shown by guided tour.

Under a suburban street is the semi-sunken bunker from which the Royal Observer Corps would have tracked fallout after a nuclear attack, with its decontamination room, dormitories and operations room intact. English Heritage runs guided tours on set days and they are gripping. Ticketed; check the days before walking out.
