Kennet and Avon Canal to Bathampton
A flat towpath walk from Sydney Gardens to a canalside pub in Bathampton, and back by the river.
Pick up the canal in Sydney Gardens, where it passes under cast-iron bridges, and follow the towpath east for a mile and a half to the George at Bathampton, a pub by the water with a good lunch. Come back along the river path or take the bus. Free, flat and good with children and dogs.
