Barber Institute of Fine Arts
A small Art Deco gallery with Monet, Degas and Turner, free, on the university campus.
The Barber is the best small collection in the Midlands: a room or two of Old Masters, a strong run of Impressionists and free concerts in the hall. It is free and five minutes from University station on the train. Combine it with Winterbourne next door.

Indoors, so the weather does not matter. Best morning, afternoon.
Good for a date, going solo and step-free visits.
