The city’s favourite park, with boating lakes, a mini golf course and an arts centre on the edge.
Cannon Hill has the lakes, the playgrounds and the Sunday crowds, and the Midlands Arts Centre on its edge has a cinema, galleries and a café for when the weather turns. Free, and a short bus ride south of the centre. The park is at its best in cherry-blossom season and on summer evenings.

Mostly under cover, so light rain is fine. Best morning, afternoon, evening.
Good for kids, dogs, a date and locals' favourite.
