The Barrowland is a 1960s ballroom with a sprung dance floor, a low stage and a crowd that makes bands play better; ask any of them. Gigs most weeks across every genre, tickets at ordinary prices, and the neon sign outside is a landmark in its own right. The Barras market is underneath at weekends.
