Guru/Glasgow/St Mungo Museum of Religious Life and Art

St Mungo Museum of Religious Life and Art

A small museum of the world’s religions beside the cathedral, with a Zen garden, free.

Opposite the cathedral, St Mungo's takes the world's faiths one gallery at a time, with objects from a Nigerian mask to a Chinese robe, and Britain's first Zen garden outside. It is free, calm and takes an hour. Provand's Lordship, the oldest house in the city, is across the road.

When it works

Indoors, so the weather does not matter. Best morning, afternoon.

Good for going solo and step-free visits.
