Otley Chevin
A forest park on a ridge above Otley with a view over Wharfedale and the airport’s planes.
The Chevin is the ridge that rises above Otley, with woodland trails, a crag called Surprise View and a long view over the dale. It is a favourite sunset spot and a short walk from a car park or a longer one from Otley's pubs. Free and a fine-weather outing north-west of the city.
When it works
Outdoors: pick a dry day. Best morning, afternoon, evening.
Good for dogs, sunset and a date.
