Guru/Glasgow/Kelvingrove Park

Kelvingrove Park

The West End’s Victorian park along the Kelvin, between the museum and the university.

Kelvingrove Park is where the West End sits on a sunny day: the river, the bandstand, the fountain and the view up to the university towers. It links the museum to Gilmorehill and Byres Road, so it is the natural route between the day's stops. Free, and lovely on a summer evening.

When it works

Outdoors: pick a dry day. Best morning, afternoon, evening.

Good for dogs, a date, kids, sunset and locals' favourite.
