University of Glasgow cloisters
Gothic Revival towers on a hill above the park, with the cloisters that stood in for Hogwarts.
The main building on Gilmorehill is one of the finest Victorian Gothic buildings in Britain, and the vaulted cloisters beneath its quadrangles are free to walk through and endlessly photographed. Climb to the flagpole for the view over Kelvingrove and the city. Combine with the Hunterian inside and the park below.

Mostly under cover, so light rain is fine. Best morning, afternoon, evening.
Good for a first visit, a date and going solo.
