Guru/Glasgow/Riverside Museum and the Tall Ship

Riverside Museum and the Tall Ship

Trams, locomotives, a recreated 1900s street and a three-masted ship moored outside, all free.

Zaha Hadid's zig-zag building on the Clyde holds the transport collection: a wall of cars, subway carriages you can board, a cobbled street of period shops and a South African locomotive. The Glenlee, a tall ship from 1896, is moored alongside and free to explore. Indoors apart from the ship's deck, and a favourite with children.

When it works

Indoors, so the weather does not matter. Best morning, afternoon.

Good for kids, a first visit and step-free visits.
