The Tenement House
A flat kept exactly as its owner left it in 1965, a time capsule of Glasgow tenement life.
Agnes Toward lived in this first-floor flat for fifty years and changed almost nothing, so the gas lights, the box bed and the coal-fired range are all as they were. The National Trust for Scotland shows it with a small charge and it takes about forty-five minutes. Small, indoors and one of the city's quiet treasures.
